If you answered yes to these questions being a Volunteer at the Yountville Welcome Center is the perfect opportunity for you! The Yountville Chamber of Commerce operates the Yountville Welcome Center and is always seeking Napa County residents interested in sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for wine country with our visitors. As a volunteer in the Yountville Welcome Center you will meet and greet visitors, provide details on area activities, accommodations, events and more.

By volunteering at the Yountville Welcome Center you are sure to become an expert on Yountville and the Napa Valley. Training is provided to make sure you are up to date on the happenings in town. Whether you are new to the area or a long time residents there is always something new to learn about Yountville and the Napa Valley!

MEET NEW PEOPLE

Yountville Welcome Center volunteers get the unique opportunity to interact with people from all over the world! In addition to meeting all of our amazing visitors, volunteers also get the opportunity to meet and interact with Associate Members, Buisness Members, and each other.



FAMILIARIZATION TOURS

Familiarization Tours (or FAM Tours) are volunteer only experiences at Yountville Chamber member businesses. Learn what wineries, restaurants, hotels and other businesses are offering to visitors to be able to better serve them in the Welcome Center.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

The Yountville Chamber of Commerce is always looking for new volunteers to help in the Yountville Welcome Center.

Volunteering at the Yountville Welcome Center is a weekly commitment of 3 hours. Volunteers work the same day for either a morning shift (10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) or afternoon shift (1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Volunteers are responsible for opening or closing the Yountville Welcome Center, greeting guests, introducing them to Yountville and the Napa Valley and referring them to member businesses.

In addition to a weekly commitment, volunteers are expected to attend the monthly volunteer meeting on the last Wednesday of the month and familiarization tours throughout the year.

Other Requirements:

Must have good people skills; be enthusiastic, friendly and have a pleasant personality
Customer service and sales skills
Basic internet search capability
Comfortable standing for lengthy periods of time
Must love Yountville and Napa Valley!
Be able to lift 25 pounds

The volunteer recruiting process is selective. All candidates must fill out an application followed by an interview to determine their level of knowledge, enthusiasm, commitment and interest in promoting Yountville and Yountville Chamber of Commerce members.
