On Thursday, February 22, 2024 the Yountville Chamber of Commerce hosted our February Professional Development Webinar: 2024 Labor Law Updates with Marissa Buck of Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty. Marissa gave a detailed presentation of the new labor laws and how they will affect businesses in Napa County and beyond.
Marissa Buck is an Partner in DP&F’s Employment practice group. She represents clients in matters involving various employment issues including wage and hour, discrimination, reasonable accommodation, leaves of absence, and implementing state and federal regulations. She also assists clients in analyzing the legal risks associated with hiring, disciplining and firing, and has represented her clients’ interests in both administrative proceedings and litigation.
Prior to joining the Employment group, Marissa practiced general ligation for over five years representing clients in a wide variety of litigation matters. Her experience includes litigating real property matters, trust disputes, and general commercial disputes. Marissa also has experience advising law firms on ethics issues and representing attorneys in State Bar defense matters in California.
