The Wine Hospitality in Yountville Committee (WHY Committee) met on Wednesday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom.  In the meeting we discussed upcoming marketing opportunities and all expressed hope to reopen in the Purple Tier soon.

Marketing Opportunities for Yountville Tasting Rooms:

  • Yountville Six-Pack
    • Frederick Boelen, The Good Life Wine Collective & Kate Schwass, Mira Winery
    • The Yountville Six-Pack is a half case of wine sold to the public. The half-case will include a bottle of wine from each participating winery.  The six wineries that have signed up: Jessup Cellars, Handwritten Wines, Mira Winery, Bell Wines, Priest Ranch, & Silver Trident.  The wine will be collected, sold, and processed through Mira Wines and will be sold at full-retail at $440.  A 10% donation will be give to the Yountville Kiwanis Club.
  • Shop Small Spring Sidewalk Cellar Sale
    • The Yountville Chamber is encouraging tasting rooms and nearby wineries are interested in creating and participating in a town-wide Sidewalk Sale the weekend April 24 – 25, 2021. The date is not confirmed, but we are leaning towards this weekend since the Art, Sip & Stroll event has moved to mid-summer.  This event is free to the public and is going to be promoted as a shopping event, not a tasting event.  This event is also free to all the wineries who want to participate.

The committee will continue to meet every month, virtually.  The next meeting is Wednesday, February 10, 2021 via Zoom.
