Key Legal Updates All California Employers Should Know for 2026

As we approach the new year, we’re sharing key updates from employment law experts to help your business stay compliant with new regulations taking effect in 2026. Some of these changes may require adjustments to your handbooks, pay practices, and workplace policies. For a deeper dive, we encourage you to join DP&F Employment Law’s annual Employment Law Update webinars on December 11th and January 13th. Details are below.

New California Laws – Effective 2026

California employers will see several important changes in 2026, including updated pay data reporting requirements, minimum wage increases, new tip theft protections, and restrictions on stay-or-pay training reimbursement contracts. Employers should review wage structures, update policies, and ensure compliance ahead of these changes.

DP&F will also cover ongoing employment law issues that continue to create challenges for employers.

Register for a webinar on either December 11, 2025, or January 13, 2026.
