The Yountville Chamber of Commerce wears two hats. We function as a traditional chamber of commerce and we are the destination marketing organization for Yountville. This year, for the first time, the Yountville Chamber has created two marketing plans: one for the destination and one for the chamber itself. Below are highlights from both marketing plans.

Yountville Destination Marketing Plan

The Yountville Chamber of Commerce functions as the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for the destination of Yountville. As the official DMO the chamber runs all marketing efforts for Yountville. These efforts include, but are not limited to social media, TripAdvisor,, destination blogs, digital marketing advertising, FAM Trips and other PR efforts.

Social Media:

The key objective of the Social Media Strategy is to promote and raise awareness of the destination and our hotel proprieties. As well as grow our followers on the three primary Social Media channels – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

A key objective of the TripAdvisor plan is to promote and raise awareness of the destination and grow our TripAdvisor following on our DS page. We would also like to grow our positive reviews for the Yountville Welcome Center page.

Website and Blog Creation:

Staff will create 4-6 blogs each month that will be posted on These will range from Leadership Circle spotlights, event blogs, and general content blogs. Four blogs a month will be SEO optimized by WSI NextGen.

Website Maintenance

Staff will continue to update on a weekly basis with up to date information. The website will also undergo an annual SEO refresh for all directory listing pages to ensure proper website searchability. Photos on the home page and other landing pages will be changed out twice a year to ensure a fresh look. Members may request to change their photos and content at any time.


The Yountville Chamber is excited to be working with our marketing agency Mering for. Mering runs our digital advertising campaign across Google Display Network, Google Ad Words, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pandora.


Yountville Chamber Marketing Plan

A key objective of the Yountville Chamber Marketing Strategy is to promote and raise awareness of chamber business as a means to communicate value as well as grow our followers on Facebook, our email list, and membership revenue.
The Yountville Chamber of Commerce brand is to be the trusted resource of accurate and relevant information for its members. The brand for the chamber also includes being the voice of business through chamber programming and for magnifying the reach of member content.


Utilizing Facebook allows us to generate a recurring calendar of posts to increase awareness of chamber benefits, chamber members, chamber events.  Facebook also allows us to have immediate opportunities to keep our followers informed with updates from local municipalities and organizations.


Emails allow the chamber to provide in-depth information to the membership. Emails will be sent by both constant contact and outlook.


Blog articles focus on business member spotlights, chamber programs, chamber initiatives, and chamber committees. Staff will post 4 -6 blogs a month on Each blog will also be posted on the Yountville Chamber Facebook page.


Print ads will be run four times a year in the Yountville Sun and will feature chamber milestones, accomplishments and member information. Press releases released as needed.


In partnership with Wine Down Media, the Yountville Chamber of Commerce will be promoting Yountville chamber members and content on both local Napa County radio stations.
